Salesforce/nCino Administrator

Reports to: Credit Operations Officer
FLSA: Exempt

The Salesforce/nCino Administrator is integral to the planning, development and ongoing deployment of the nCino bank operating system and Salesforce platform, as well as troubleshooting issues on behalf of all users. This role will be dedicated to developing, maintaining, and improving the processes, efficiency and user adoption of the platform. It may require travel throughout the bank’s footprint for training and integration. This role will work closely with various departments to ensure that the systems developed will reflect the bank’s policy and credit culture, approval authorities, and desired operational workflow to a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.

Essential Functions

(Majority of duties, but not meant to be all inclusive nor prevent other duties from being assigned as necessary)

  • Provide support to the nCino user base around day-to-day activities including configuration, support, maintenance and improvement of the platform.
  • Identify, diagnose and resolve end user problems in an effective, timely and courteous manner.
  • Design, document, build, test and deploy enhancements to nCino custom objects, page layouts, workflows, alerts, reports, dashboards, and processes to continuously improve data quality, process integrity and productivity.
  • Assist with the institution’s data maintenance including auditing and diagnosing data integrity issues and completing bulk imports of data.
  • Perform intermittent application testing of new nCino releases and internal organizational changes.
  • Participate in future conversions and configurations planned for the Bank as part of our roadmap.
  • Develop training plans, materials, and documentation for application users, keep materials up to date, coordinate new user and ongoing training sessions for new employees. Assist in communicating change management for the system.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage the applications to support additional business intelligence, processes improvements and efficiencies and new functionalities.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

(Minimum education, experience, technical and communication skill levels and licenses/certificates normally required to perform the duties of this position.)

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or technology related field required.
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification required.
  • nCino Administrator Certification must be obtained within 12 months in role.
  • Proficiency in data manipulation and using data-related applications.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate situations, make recommendations and take prompt, effective corrective action.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills that involve collaborating with internal and external contacts regarding complex policies, procedures, or programs.
  • Strong overall technical background.
  • 2+ years’ hands-on experience with the Salesforce platform preferred.
  • Experience with Apex programming language and Visualforce development preferred.
  • Experience with sandbox and production deployment preferred.
  • General lending knowledge encompassing a wide range of loan types, including CRE, C&I and construction lending, and basic knowledge of SBA and consumer lending a plus

Working Conditions

Internal – Work is normally performed in climate-controlled office environment, where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, poor ventilation, fumes and gases is very limited. Noise level is moderate and includes sounds of normal office equipment (computers, telephones, etc.). No known environmental hazards are encountered in normal performance of job duties.


External –Work will often include driving to other bank branches for training and integration, with exposure to traffic, outside atmospheric conditions, heat/cold, or moisture. 

Physical Demands

(The physical effort generally associated with this position)

Work involves standing and walking for brief periods of time, but most duties are performed from a seated position. There is potential for eyestrain from reading detailed printouts and computer screen. Deadlines, workloads during peak periods and pressure may cause increased stress levels. Work may include occasional pushing, pulling, or carrying objects weighing up to 20 pounds such as files, documents, and computer printouts. Work normally requires finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination to operate computer keyboard at an advanced skill level

Internal – Any other bank employees, as necessary to fulfill job requirements.

External – Regular contact with Salesforce/nCino consultants and representatives.

Supervision of Others – No direct supervision of others.
